Officials Expect Medical Marijuana in DC by May 2012
City officials in Washington, DC, expect access to medical marijuana will be implemented by May 2012, The Washington Post reports. The city passed a law in July 2010 to legalize growing and selling prescription marijuana through dispensaries and cultivation centers, but bureaucratic hesitance has caused delays. The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration recently ruled that marijuana has no accepted medical use.
