Man Denied HIV Test Crashes Into Clinic

July 21, 2006—Geoffrey Fitzgerald, 50, crashed his minivan into a medical clinic in La Crosse, Wisconsin last week in a rage against a doctor who he says refused him an HIV test back in 1988. Fitzgerald, diagnosed with AIDS in 1995, claims that if he had been tested earlier, the disease wouldn’t have progressed. A 1998 malpractice lawsuit was dismissed.
