The Row over Routine Testing

July 7, 2006—Today’s Wall Street Journal explores opposition to new HIV testing recommendations expected this summer from the Centers for Disease Control. The concerns are about making testing routine without guaranteeing treatment or care and that patient privacy may be violated, especially following the widespread adoption of names reporting around the country recently.
