An Indian Prince is Disinherited

July 7, 2006—An Indian Prince has been disowned by his family for publicly coming out as gay in violation of a 145-year-old law banning homosexuality. The Prince, Manvendra Singh Gohil, runs an AIDS organization and says he’s found a home in the gay community and is unconcerned about losing his inheritance.
