What Do South Africans Know About HIV?

June 13, 2006—In a blow to South African education and prevention efforts, nearly 40% surveyed about HIV mistakenly believed there is a cure for the virus. But another study showed that HIV education influenced men in the region, the most HIV-afflicted in the world, to be monogamous and to encourage their pregnant partners to get check-ups.
