House Votes for More AIDS Aid

June 12, 2006—The House approved a bill Friday that would fund U.S. international AIDS efforts in 2007 with $752 million more than this year. The bill, which now needs to be squared with a Senate version, would give $445 million to the multilateral Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Malaria and TB, twice what President Bush requested.
