HPV Vaccine Nears FDA Approval

May 19, 2006—An FDA panel recommended yesterday that Gardasil, a vaccine to prevent human papilloma virus (HPV), receive FDA approval. People with HIV are especially vulnerable to HPV-related diseases such as cervical cancer and anal warts.
