Virginia Reaches Out to Latinos
The Virginia Department of Health has embarked on a $50,000 advertising campaign to encourage Latinos to get tested for HIV—just in time for National HIV Testing Day on Wednesday. The initiative uses Spanish-language radio stations to encourage people to find out their status early, hoping to tackle rising HIV rates in the northern part of the state.
