U.S. Support for Patent Busting?

Democratic legislators and U.S. trade reps are finishing up negotiations to put more flexibility in international trade agreements for poorer countries looking to get around drug patents in order to save citizens’ lives, according to the CongressDaily. In a recent Wall Street Journal poll, 61% of Americans said developing countries should be permitted to break patents on AIDS meds if it helped get treatment to more people.
