HIV Rates Soar in Nepal

HIV rates among Nepali women and children have skyrocketed in the past 18 months, rising approximately 150% and 200% respectively, according to data released by the National Center for AIDS and STD Control. The HIV rate has increased about 60% for the population as a whole over the same period.
