FDA Reaffirms Ban On Gay Blood

Yesterday the Food and Drug Administration reaffirmed a policy barring all men who have had sex with a man since 1977 from donating blood. The measure was first put in place in 1983 as an HIV prevention measure but critics have called it unscientific and discriminatory.
