Global Fund: One Million Served
The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria announced yesterday that it has brought treatment to over one million HIV positive people, up from 544,000 a year ago. The organization, launched by the Group of Eight industrialized nations five years back, said it has also treated 2.8 million people with tuberculosis.
