Taiwan Clinics Snub Newborns
Some clinics in Taiwan are refusing to care for babies of HIV positive mothers until they are sure that the child is HIV negative, reports the Taipei Times. One AIDS hospice and nursing home director said that government and non-profit groups often turn down children who haven’t reached 18 months yet, the age at which they consider HIV tests reliable.
