New Jersey Puts Moms to the Test
New Jersey State Senate President Richard J. Codey (D- Essex) announced yesterday that he would introduce legislation that would require HIV testing for expectant mothers and newborns. While the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommends that all pregnant women get tested, New Jersey would become the first state to make it mandatory.
