Needle Exchange No-No
The international body that monitors UN drug conventions is hurting HIV prevention efforts among injection drug users, according to a new report by the Canadian HIV/AIDS Legal Network and the Open Society Institute. The report criticizes members of the International Narcotics Control Board (INCB) for opposing needle exchange, despite evidence from UNAIDS, the WHO and even INCB researchers that it helps prevent HIV.
