Pot Suit
A patient advocacy group is suing the federal government in hopes of forcing the Department of Health and Human Services and other agencies to admit that marijuana has medicinal value. Americans for Safe Access cites peer-reviewed studies including one by the government’s own Institute of Medicine that found pot alleviated conditions including AIDS wasting, muscle spasticity and chronic pain.
