Students to Abbott: Do Not Pass Go
Two dozen students from the Student Global AIDS Campaign dumped bags filled with Monopoly money at Abbott Laboratories headquarters in Chicago today to protest the high cost of HIV med Kaletra/Aluvia (lopinavir/ritonavir) in the developing world. The amount delivered in the multi-colored bills, $813,699, is one day's cost of the drug for the 135,000 people in need of treatment in Thailand.
