I have been dealing with this for 25 years.
I have been dealing, like so many with lipodystrophy. I just had my 6th operation on my hump and will have a future operation on my chin(s)/ It is a horrible part of living with AIDS. I have been living with it since 1982. I have seen many friends pass, so this is minor in that respect yet it is major in everyday living. I do not enjoy haircuts as I have to look at my face and I avoid mirrors whenever possible. Mainstream is not aware of this hideous side effect yet the looks do not deter me.
Irregular fat distribution in my body has been an ongoing problem for me. I have tried two of the drugs specified for this problem. I was allergic to one. The other was very expensive and complicated to use. The problem has its mental effects on body image and self-esteem.
Looking forward to the discussion as I have been dealing with this for nearly 30 years.

What can be done for Lipotrophy. We can camoflouge our belly but the face is what all see no matter what.
