In 1998 I took one of the home tests, you pricked your finger, smeared the blood on a card and mailed it in.2 weeks later you call for results.I called from work,I really thought it would be neg.Boy was I wrong.I left work in shock, went to a friends house and freaked out.At first I thought doing it myself was the worse thing I could have done, but I'm so happy I did.It was a major shock, and I wished I had taken it seriously calling from home.If I hadn't done it this way I may never have known.

I am sad that our CDC and AIDS leadership have allowed 4 years to study a no brainer of more HIV Screening Kits the better and sad that during those 4 years 200 thousand new infectiong accured and no home testing kits, Wow what does the CDC stand for and the saddness of the mothers and fathers having to know thier child as HIV, is any one concerned with new HIV cases or is it just an entitlement program that many want to get their entitlement?
