I smell smear campaign from truly disgruntled employees. Perhaps the most important indicator of this is the fact that after possessing these unfounded allegations against AHF since last June, when the case was first filed, neither the United States Government nor the State of Florida chose to participate in the employeesâ?? case.
Perhaps I'm naïve, but using money to bribe people into care hardly seems like the worst sin an HIV organization could commit. Distasteful, yes. Wasteful, probably. I'd say ineffective too. Hardly deserving of the criticism this has generated though. It is certainly not as distasteful as, say, a magazine starting its life as a patient advocacy forum, then becoming a shameless weapon against HIV charities whose leaders speak their mind.
Wow I want my 50 dollars. Truly the suit is with out merit in my view point. Maybe a little scummie in non-profit business ethics, however let's be real AHF is a business and AIDS Inc. is a big business in billions of of dollars in USA funding. Hence many are under the money fountain and many live and healfrom that cash flow. AHF is a private non-profit and I think incentives for clients to obtain new business is the American way,not new, just creative marketing. AARP does the same practice.
