You don't suppose these statistics have anything to do with the fact that out of all these "wealthy" countries, we have "for profit" healthcare? I wonder how much might changed if we had nationalized healthcare.

And this surprises us why? Testing should be mandatory for everyone - public assistance; testing required. Marriage license; testing required; regular Dr. Office visit; testing required. Homeless shelters; testing required. This would drastically cut down on the number off people that are HIV+ that are clueless to their status and would help get treatment in much earlier stages. Of course that eliminates our "right to choose", which is eliminated anyway when HIV is contracted unknowingly.
