We not only need funding and special programs, we need epidemiological studies to ensure that there aren't emergent adverse events to our HIV medications that show up 20 years after initiating therapy. I know that my body is having unusual issues earlier than it should and I know I am not alone, but there seems to be little data to support my feelings or concerns. I suspect this is from a lack of study rather than from a lack of evidence.
